Teflon® PFA Coating Overview
Teflon® PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) coatings are non-porous, which makes them incredibly resistant to chemicals. Just like FEP, it was designed to melt and flow. But it provides higher temperature resistance than FEP and is more durable.
- Superior resistance to chemicals
- Non-porous coating
- Best dielectric strength = 3000 volts/mil
- Maximum use temperature 500°F
- Cures at 750°F
This coating is best used for its chemical and abrasion resistance. It can stand up to temperatures as high as 500°F and can be as thick as 40 mils.
