Teflon® PTFE Coating Overview
Teflon® PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coatings are available in a single coat or a two-coat application. They can withstand the highest temperatures of any fluoropolymer coating and are good when used for abrasion and chemical resistance. They also have an extremely low coefficient of friction.
- The coating system is one coat or primer/topcoat
- Superior non-stick/low friction properties
- Superior chemical/corrosion resistance
- Good resistance to abrasions
- Cures at 750°F
This coating is best used for nonstick properties and heat resistance. It can stand up to temperatures as high as 600°F, and its thickness is usually 1-3 mils.
